A-ROSA: New Routes and Ports for the 2027 Season

There are plenty of exciting updates for your 2027 vacation planning with river cruise line A-ROSA. As the company announced in a press release, the operator is celebrating its 25th anniversary in the 2027 season. To mark the occasion, it is introducing 20 new itineraries on the Rhine and Danube, as well as two new departure ports. Cruises for this anniversary year have already been open for booking since March 3, 2026.

New Starting Points in Duisburg and Vienna

A major change concerns the departure ports. On the Rhine, Duisburg will become an important new starting point. From there, the ships A-ROSA AQUA, A-ROSA BRAVA, and A-ROSA SENA will predominantly head north towards the Netherlands and Belgium. According to A-ROSA, this starting point shortens travel times and allows for longer stays in the local metropolises. It also gives you the opportunity to visit the International Garden Exhibition (IGA) in the Ruhr region, which takes place from April 23 to October 17, 2027.

On the Danube, Vienna will serve as the new departure port for the A-ROSA FLORA. From the Austrian capital, the ship will offer cruises ranging from 5 to 7 nights to famous metropolises, as well as longer voyages of 14 to 16 nights leading all the way to the Danube Delta.

Maiden Voyages for the Flagship

There is a premiere in store for the flagship A-ROSA SENA: in its fifth year of service, the ship will head to the southern Rhine for the very first time. Departing from Duisburg, it will sail downriver to destinations including Cologne, Koblenz, and Mainz. According to the cruise line, these new itineraries, offered as 5- or 7-night trips, will also feature overnight stays in ports that the ship has never visited before.

Other ships in the fleet are also seeing updates:

• A-ROSA CLEA will set sail from Cologne for Moselle cruises, as well as new 3- and 7-night itineraries.
• A-ROSA ALEA will adopt Frankfurt as its homeport for cruises on the Main and Rhine.
• On the Danube, A-ROSA BELLA will offer adjusted short cruises as well as a 9-night itinerary from Passau.

Updates to the Premium Fare

According to A-ROSA, the onboard concept is also changing. From 2027, the previous Premium fare will be renamed "A-ROSA Premium All Inclusive". This is designed to place a stronger focus on culinary offerings and the entertainment program, for example through themed buffets or new bookable options such as a "Wine & Dine" experience. An upgraded beverage package can be added at a discounted early-booking price until November 30, 2026.
