Fresh New Look for Carnival Radiance

If you are planning a cruise from Long Beach in the near future, you can look forward to a modernized ship: Carnival Radiance has completed her two-week dry dock and is back in service. Since October 3, the Carnival Cruise Line vessel has been welcoming passengers back on board.
Modernizations in Dry Dock
As reported by Cruise Industry News, the Destiny-class ship, built in 2000, spent a total of 15 days in dry dock at the Seaspan shipyard in Victoria, Canada. During this stay, the guest areas inside the ship as well as on the outdoor decks were refreshed. In addition, the onboard Effy jewelry boutique was modernized.
New Crest on the Bow
A visual update can be seen on the ship's bow. Carnival Radiance has been fitted with the new "From Sea to Shining Sea" bow crest. According to Carnival Cruise Line, this design was already introduced on Carnival Legend earlier this year and is set to be rolled out across the cruise line's entire US fleet during upcoming dry docks and on newbuilds.
The crest is intended to symbolize the cruise line's American spirit. According to Cruise Industry News, the design was created in honor of the 250th anniversary of the USA. According to the industry magazine, exceptions to this design will be Carnival Jubilee and Carnival Tropicale, planned for 2028, which will instead feature the Texas star on their bows.
Upcoming Itineraries
Following her dry dock, the ship returns to her homeport of Long Beach. From there, year-round voyages will be offered once again. The schedule includes four- and five-day cruises to Baja Mexico and the Mexican Riviera, with calls at destinations including Ensenada and Catalina Island. In addition, Carnival Radiance offers select two-week voyages to Hawaii.
