Carnival Jubilee to Launch Short Cruises from Galveston

There are new options for planning your vacation from Texas: Carnival Cruise Line is expanding its offerings for the 2028/2029 season. As the cruise line announced in a press release, Carnival Jubilee will be deployed on regular short cruises for the first time. Previously, the Excel Class ship had not featured in the short itinerary program from its homeport of Galveston.

Short Trips to Mexico

According to the cruise line, the new schedule runs from April 2028 to April 2029. The new four-day cruises to the Western Caribbean will depart on select Thursdays starting April 27, 2028. The destination for these voyages is the Mexican port of Cozumel, famous for its diving and snorkeling spots.

In addition, the cruise line is offering five-day voyages departing on select Saturdays and Mondays starting April 17, 2028. Along with Cozumel, these itineraries will also take you to Progreso on the Yucatán Peninsula.

Longer Itineraries and Private Islands

In addition to the new short cruises, the 2023-built ship's schedule also includes longer voyages, according to Carnival Cruise Line:

• Six-day Western Caribbean cruise: Departs October 29, 2028, with stops in Cozumel and Isla Tropicale (Roatán).
• Eight-day Bahamas cruise: Departs April 1, 2028, heading to the ports of Nassau, Half Moon Cay (Holland America's private island with its beach lagoon), as well as Celebration Key and RelaxAway.
• Eight-day Western Caribbean cruise: Departs April 9, 2028, and leads to Cozumel, Isla Tropicale, and Montego Bay in Jamaica.

Thanks to these new dates, you will have significantly more flexibility in terms of cruise length when planning your voyage from the Texan port of Galveston.
