Three-Star Chef Kevin Fehling on MS EUROPA in 2027

For cruise guests with a passion for fine dining, 2027 holds some very special dates on MS EUROPA: Hamburg's three-star chef Kevin Fehling will be personally on board for a total of seven voyages. As the cruise line Hapag-Lloyd Cruises announced in a press release, passengers will have the chance to meet the top chef in person at his onboard restaurant, THE GLOBE, on selected days.

A Culinary Journey Back in Time

For Kevin Fehling, MS EUROPA is a very familiar place. Around 25 years ago, he began his career there as a cook (known back then as a "Smutje"). For seven years now, he has been running the restaurant THE GLOBE on the luxury ship. The restaurant's design is inspired by Fehling's passion for astronomy: the ceiling lights are shaped like planets, while pictures on the walls tell personal stories of his travels. On the culinary side, he focuses on creations inspired by his journeys around the world.

On land, the chef runs the restaurant THE TABLE in Hamburg's HafenCity. In June 2026, it successfully defended its three Michelin stars for the eleventh time.

Seven Cruises in 2027

If you want to experience the three-star chef in person on board, you will have the opportunity to do so on seven different itineraries in 2027. The cruises will take you to the following regions, among others:

• The Americas: From February 16 to March 19, 2027, a 31-day voyage goes from Valparaiso to San Francisco (USA).
• Iberian Peninsula: A ten-day cruise runs from the port of Funchal in Madeira (Portugal) to Palma de Mallorca (Spain) from May 7 to May 17, 2027.
• Western Europe: From May 31 to June 16, 2027, the ship sails from Nice to Hamburg in 16 days.
• Baltic Sea: Two summer cruises run from Hamburg to Kiel. The first takes place from July 18 to July 30, 2027, and the second from August 30 to September 10, 2027.
• Autumn in Europe: From October 9 to October 25, 2027, a 16-day voyage goes from Hamburg to Mallorca.
• South Africa: A 17-day round-trip cruise from and to Cape Town is planned from November 17 to December 4, 2027.

According to Hapag-Lloyd Cruises, certain early booking benefits apply to most of these cruises when booked by October 31, 2026. For the South Africa cruise, this deadline is January 31, 2027.
